Tributes have been pouring in from all sectors of society, who revere Dr. R Danny Williams as a visionary and a titan of industry.
In a post to social media platform ‘X’, formerly Twitter, President of the People’s National Party, Mark Golding, paid tribute to the legendary businessman, who he described as a true Jamaican patriot “whose legendary prowess in raising funds for worthy causes is unmatched in modern Jamaica”.
And, in a statement Saturday afternoon, Sagicor Group Jamaica described Dr. Williams as a selfless person who dedicated his life to service in various capacities, dedicating his time and resources to help underserved and underprivileged Jamaicans.
President and CEO of the Sagicor Group, Christopher Zacca, spoke of the former chairman’s legacy, remembering him as being deeply loved, respected and admired by colleagues, employees and industry peers alike.
Former PNP president, Dr. Peter Phillips, also remembers Danny Williams for his warmth and pioneering spirit.
He is also lauding Danny Williams for his contributions to their shared alma mater, Jamaica College.
