Prime Minister and PNP President, Portia Simpson-Miller, has received the elusive ‘master’s touch’ that she has been waiting for.

Last year on the campaign trail, Mrs Simpson Miller said that she’d not call General Elections until she was touched by her master.

In Parliament yesterday, while Opposition MP Audley Shaw was making the case for delaying elections until the national voters list is cleaned up, Mrs Simpson-Miller quipped in a sotto voce remark that “I have already been touched”.

However, PNP General Secretary, Paul Burke is refusing to confirm or deny that the governing party has intensified its preparations in anticipation of a General Election being called in the next few weeks.

Mr. Burke says he’s had recent discussions with Prime Minister President Portia Simpson Miller regarding the state of readiness of the governing party.

The PNP General Secretary says he’s satisfied with the feedback from the Prime Minister.
