Health Minister, Dr Christopher Tufton, says tougher legislation could be coming to deal with tobacco-related health issues and putting a stop to advertisements by tobacco companies.

He was speaking yesterday at the Jamaica Association of Public Health Inspectors One Health Academic Conference and Facility Forum.

Dr Tufton who gave credit to his predecessor, Dr Fenton Ferguson, pointed out that while Jamaica has come a far way, more must be done to address the issue.

The minister said efforts to make legislative changes is a constant struggle.
