Police in Trinidad and Tobago on Thursday seized over 400 kilogrammes of cocaine in tyres at a warehouse.

The drugs have an estimated street value of TT$193 million.

During the search, the lawmen reportedly found six large backhoe tyres mounted on rims inside the facility. They say closer inspection revealed rectangular packages concealed inside four of the tyres.

A total of 420 packages were seized.

The Guardian says a 42-year-old businessman from the British Virgin Islands was arrested on suspicion of offences connected with the seizure. Two St. Lucian nationals were also detained.
