A woman was killed and another was shot at a party in the early hours of Mother’s Day, yesterday in Clarendon.

The dead woman is Antoinette Bernard, also called ‘Rythym’. The women– both mothers– were patrons at the party, in the York Town area of the parish.

Operations Officer for the Clarendon Police, Deputy Superintendent Paul Bernard, confirmed the incident.

He says the organisers had not received a permit from the Police to stage the event. He says the Police had warned the organizers twice that night to end the event.

Deputy Superintendent Bernard is also issuing this warning to those who refuse to obey the Police’s orders.
