Two men were shot dead in separate incidents in Heartease and Asia Monday morning.
Residents have named the victims as Donald Anderson, a resident of Asia and a man known as “Tippy”, a resident of Heartease.
Police reports are that residents of Asia, in south Manchester, heard loud explosions and subsequently found Anderson dead at his house. The body had what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
Police say the second victim was shot and killed in Heartease near Mandeville early on Monday.
The incidents have increased the murder tally for Manchester so far this year to 25.
This compares to 19 for the corresponding period in 2025.
