Education Minister, Ronald Thwaites says the incidence of violent acts in the nation’s schools is trending down.

Minister Thwaites told parliament yesterday that data from the police safety and community branch show that robberies, fatal stabbings and other related incidents have dropped sharply since 2012.

The Minister says while the overall statistics are showing a steady decline, data shows that there was an increase in the number of fights last year.
