Assistant Vice President of Victoria Mutual Wealth Cooperate Finance, Dwight Jackson says the government has made several suggestions in the budget debate that will benefit micro businesses.
During a Virtual Broadcast of the Victoria Mutual Building Society’s Post Budget review yesterday afternoon Mr. Jackson said financial stakeholders are pleased with the announcement by Minister of Finance Dr. Nigel Clarke to assist businesses with equity funding.
He added that businesses are struggling to find capital to sustain their operations.
Mr. Jackson said the Finance Minister’s proposal that people will not be charged for exporting items under 500 US Dollars, will aid small businesses who are looking to expand their operations.
Mr. Jackson said although this budget will not bring the country back to where it was in 2019 anytime soon, it’s a good start.
