Vice President of the Bustamante Industrial Trade Union, BITU, Ruddy Thomas, says there’s growing uncertainty about the status of workers at the Vocational Training Development Institute, VTDI, and the National Council on Technical Vocational Education and Training, NCTVET,
Mr. Thomas says the workers were told sometime ago that they would be transferred to the HEART Trust/NSTA.
He says there has been no update from the Education Ministry.
Mr. Thomas says the BITU will meet with the leadership of HEART Trust NSTA on Friday to discuss the matter.
He says he’s keen to sit with the leadership of the Ministry of Education to advance the concerns of the workers.
