Former national football club champions Wadadah failed in it’s latest bid to play in next season’s Jamaica Premier League after the Jamaica Football Federation upheld the ruling of its Competitions and Regulations Committee to award the place to Montego Bay United.

The Federation say Wadadah failed to meet the deadline to register players and club officials for a schedule Jamaica Premier League playoff match, on 6 October 2021.

Head coach of Wadada FC, Daniel Ricketts says they now await the advice from their lawyers to determine their next move.

Coach Ricketts insisted that neither himself or Wadadah should be blamed for the foul up. According to Ricketts, competition Manager at the JFF, Ian Kemble is at fault.
