Water Minister Matthew Samuda says promoters of water parties are expected to provide a purchase agreement indicating private sourcing of the commodity for their events.
This, after concerns were raised about water parties and whether promoters may be using water from National Water Commission sources.

On Monday, the management at the Mona campus of the University of the West Indies issued a memorandum urging students, staff and other members of its community to conserve water amid what it described as widespread water supply challenges across the country.
The memo followed a water party that was held on the campus on the weekend.
In the letter, the Estate Management Department said the campus has a well which serves as its primary source of water.
But it noted that the consistent availability of water is dependent on rainfall and groundwater replenishment.
