Member of Parliament for Western Westmoreland, the People’s National Party’s Dr. Wykeham McNeill, says his constituency is in mourning following the murder of a PNP activist in the parish yesterday.
It’s reported that Michael Dawes was gunned down on a construction site in West End, Negril in the parish.
Dr. McNeil says Mr. Dawes was a member of his constituency executive for years. He’s describing Mr. Dawes as a ‘much-loved community individual’.
The Western Westmoreland MP says the constituency is mourning the tragic passing of Mr Dawes.
His murder comes just over a week after gunmen went on a rampage in Grange Hill in the parish, killing 7-people and injuring 8-others.
