Former schoolboy standout, Dujuan ‘Whishper’ Richards, has signed a pre-contractual agreement with Chelsea.

Richards’ agent, Craig Butler of Phoenix Academy made the announcement in a social media post this afternoon.

Richards represented, Kingston College in the recently concluded schoolboy football season and spent time in England last month, to train with an English club’s academy team.

The 17-year-old has also been called to the latest Jamaica’s national senior men’s team, who will be playing Trinidad and Tobago in back-to-back friendlies.

In a video statement on Butler’s social media account, Richards said he was happy to sign with a club with such an established background.

It’s unclear if Richards will go into the Chelsea first team or youth academy. It’s also unclear when Richards will be leaving Jamaica for England.
