West Indies women suffered a 5-wicket loss to hosts Sri Lanka in the second ODI at the Mahinda Rajapaksha International Cricket Stadium, today.

The win gave Sri Lanka an Unassailable 2-nil lead in their three match series.

Chasing 93 to win, the hosts reached the target with 172 balls to spare.

Opener Vishmi Gunaratne hit a run a ball 50, while Kavisha Dilhari made 28 to lead the victory charge.

Karishma Ramharack took two wickets for the Windies.

Earlier, the West Indies were bowled out for 92 in 31 overs.

Rashada Williams made 24, Chedean Nation 12, Aaliyah Alleyne 16, Afy Fletcher 16 and Stand in captain Shemaine Campbelle 9.

Final scores, West Indies women 92, Sri Lanka women 93 for 5.

Ramharach says the batters didn’t give the bowlers enough run to defend.
