The Youth Arm of the governing Jamaica Labour Party, Young Jamaica, says the People’s National Party’s 84th annual conference was an abject failure.

Young Jamaica says the PNP desperately attempted to portray their conference as a success.

However, they note that many of the Opposition’s supporters saw the conference as an abject failure at worst and under- whelming at best.

President of Young Jamaica, Rohan Walsh, says the PNP failed to offer young people any form of renewed inspiration as evidenced by the low turnout of young people.

He says the Party’s only objective is to return to power.

Young Jamaica says the PNP would serve better by supporting efforts to suppress crime and violence through the new Firearms Act and the Crime Monitoring and Oversight Committee.

Walsh says the time has come for the PNP to assess their political platform before becoming worthy to confront the Jamaican electorate.

He says the Opposition does not have a list of accomplishments to show within the last 18 years.
