Chikungunya Identified on UWI Campus

The University of the West Indies (UWI) has informed its student population that a case of the Chikungunya virus has been identified on its Mona Campus.

In an email sent this afternoon, the University said fogging is to begin on the campus momentarily.

Just over two weeks ago, health authorities in Jamaica confirmed its first case of Chikungunya virus making Jamaica the 29th country in the Caribbean and Latin America to report the disease.
