That’s how Chairman of the Jamaica Urban Transit Company, JUTC, Reverend Garnet Roper, is describing demands by the Jamaica Civil Service Association, JCSA, and other public sector groups for a concession on the recently increased JUTC bus fares.
Reverend Roper made that assessment of the JCSA’s demand, while speaking on Nationwide@5 last evening.
The JUTC Chairman says the fact that the government is the largest employer of labour, a concession to civil servants would mean the JUTC would not be viable.
Reverend Roper says civil servants in the KMTR already benefit from a government supplied transportation service.
