The Minister says one hundred and $27-million will be provided by the Government, with approximately $15-million coming from the private sector.

Minister Grange is lamenting what she considers a lower than normal contribution by the private sector.

And Minister Grange has announced that the annual Independence Day Parade will be dropped from the programme this year.

She says this will facilitate its revision and return for Jamaica 55 celebrations.
