The Pastor who was convicted for having sex with a 12-year-old girl has been sentenced to 29-years in prison.

The verdict was handed down in the Supreme Court this afternoon.

The pastor, 56-year-old, Kenneth Blake of Harvest Temple Apostolic Church on Slipe Pen Road in St Andrew, was convicted of two counts of having sex with a person under 16-years-old and one count of sexual touching.

Blake will serve 12-years each for the two counts of having sex with a person under the age of 16.

He’ll serve 5-years for sexual touching.

The sentences are to run concurrently, meaning he’ll only serve 12 years.

Blake was accused of having sex with the 12-year-old on multiple occasions.

He also got the girl pregnant.

Blake was taken into custody after a report was made to the police’s sex crimes unit, the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse, CISOCA.

Blake had requested two DNA tests before eventually pleading guilty to the charge.

Both tests returned more than a 99-per cent chance he could not be excluded as the father of the 12-year-old girl’s baby.
