A 17-year-old boy who was last week held with over half-a-million dollars cash in his possession has been charged.

The boy, who has given investigators two Kingston addresses, was held last Friday on a coaster bus on the Wiltshire main road in Trelawny.

He was found with approximately $530,000 in cash.

The Head of the Trelawny Police is Superintendent Clive Blair.

Superintendent Blair says the boy was charged on Tuesday. He was offered bail in the sum of $400,000.

The boy took up the bail and is to return to court in September.

Superintendent Blair says he was charged as he couldn’t properly account for the money.
