A 22-year-old musician from Treadlight District in Clarendon has been charged for murder and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
Dead is 40-years-old Donald Simpson, A mason of Treadlight District, Clarendon.
These charges follow an incident in Treadlight District, Clarendon on Sunday, November 27.
Reports are that about 8:45 p.m., Nel along with an accomplice pounced upon Simpson and his two
sons and opened gunfire hitting Simpson in his upper body; the children were able to escape.
The police were alerted to the scene and Simpson was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced
dead.
Nel was later arrested and charged on Wednesday, December 14.
His court date is being finalised.
Meanwhile, 39-yo mechanic Wesley Martin, has been charged with shooting with intent and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
This follows an incident in Top Milford Road, St. Ann on Thursday, May 26.
Reports are that about 5:30 p.m., Martin and his brother were having a dispute when he fired two shots at him, one of which caught him in his left hand.
He was taken to hospital, where he was treated.
Martin was subsequently arrested and charged. His court date is being arranged.
