Jamaica has crossed the 600,000 mark in Covid-19 vaccines administered across the island.

The Ministry of Health says as of today, Wednesday September 8, 600,021 doses of a Covid-19 vaccine have been administered.

448,000 people have received a first dose of either the Oxford AstraZeneca or Pfizer vaccines.

Those people are to be administered their second dose in the coming days and weeks.

The Health Ministry data says 141,000 people have received a second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine and are considered fully vaccinated.

Over 10,400 people have received the single dose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine and are also considered fully vaccinated.

Jamaica has a population of approximately 2.9 million people.
