It could be days, if not weeks before power is restored to communities along the country’s south coast. That’s according to Director of Corporate Communications at the JPS, Winsome Callum.
Ms Callum says restoration efforts are being adversely affected due to the extent of the damage to the company’s transmission lines.
Meanwhile, bad weather conditions on the weekend also hampered the restoration activities of the light and power company.
Ms Callum says JPS work crews are contending with blocked roadways that are preventing access to its infrastructure.
