A resident of Hagley Park Road in St Andrew says a massive fire at Superior Honda Parts on Thursday afternoon quickly spread to surrounding properties including his home.

It’s unclear when the fire started.
But smoke was observed in the Hagley Park area just after midday.
In videos of the fire posted online, thick black smoke could be seen rising from the intense flames.
It’s also unclear the extent of the damaged caused by the blaze.
But an employee of Superior Honda Parts says the outcome could have been different if firefighters on the ground listened to the instructions of those who knew the layout of the property.

The Superior Honda Parts store is next door to the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission.
It’s understood that several neighbouring businesses and houses in the area were also affected by the blaze.
Up to news time, black smoke could still be seen across the Corporate Area skyline.
