After a year-long comprehensive renovation exercise, Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica, formerly Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica, in Runaway Bay, St Ann, is set to reopen on December 1.

The reopening will see over 600 rooms back in operation and 1,000 jobs on Jamaica’s north coast ahead of the winter tourism season.

Bahia Principe Jamaica is now split into two brands.

There’s Explore, for families and groups, and Escape, for adults seeking a more relaxed stay.

According to the management of Bahia, the differentiation strengthens the identity of each property and builds a more coherent experience.

CEO of Bahia Principe Hotels and Resorts, Julio Pérez, says this symbolizes a significant step in the company’s efforts to strengthen its presence in Jamaica.

He adds that the investment renews its commitment to the destination and enhances the guest experience with an offering adapted to evolving demand and customer preferences.

To celebrate the reopening, Bahia has launched a promotional campaign, offering discounts of up to 50-percent.
