Nationwide News understands that the Police are intensifying investigations into the circumstances in which the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Donovan Stanberry, was held up and robbed by a masked gunman inside his Corporate Area home.
Commanding Officer for the St. Andrew North Police, Superintendent Clive Blair, says the matter is being probed.
Superintendent Blair says Mr. Stanberry was not physically harmed during the incident which occurred last Friday.
He says the Permanent Secretary is cooperating with the investigation.

When contacted by our news center today, Mr. Stanberry declined comment.
Superintendent Blair says he’s not in a position to disclose what items were taken during the robbery.
But our sources say the armed robber was a prime suspect in a recent incident in the St. Andrew North Police Division, where an attorney-at-law, Everton Bird, was shot and injured.
Our sources say the the robber was shot and killed by the Police shortly after Friday’s incident involving Mr. Stanberry.
But Superintendent Blair says the Police cannot confirm this development until one of the victims identifies the robber’s body.
