An airport worker has been arrested in connection with the seizure of cocaine worth over 7.6-million Jamaican Dollars
The Police seized the one kilogramme of cocaine at the Sangster International Airport in St. James on Sunday.
Reports from the Narcotics Police are about 10:20AM, security checks were being done when two packages containing cocaine were found in a ground handling vehicle.
The Police say the operator of the vehicle attempted to flee when the packages were discovered.
However, he was caught by members of the Narcotics and Canine divisions.
The worker’s identity is being held pending further investigations.
