Education Minister, Ruel Reid, says the government has spent over $170,000 per student as the start of the new school year begins today.

In a back to school address yesterday, Minister Reid say he’s still encouraging parents to contribute to their children’s education.

The Minister says the government is fully prepared for the start of the new academic year.

He says additional support– both through infrastructure and funding– has been provided to schools which have requested it.
