An American man, who was charged in the Turks and Caicos Islands for illegally carrying ammunition, flew back to the United States on Friday.

Bryan Hagerich left the TCI after receiving a suspended sentence.

Hagerich, who is from Somerset County in Pennsylvania, is among five Americans hit with similar ammunition-related criminal charges in TCI while on vacation in the country.

He was sentenced to one year, suspended, and fined $6,700.

He paid the fine.

His attorney, Oliver A. Smith, says if Hagerich doesn’t get in trouble over the coming year, he will not have to serve his sentence.
