The Chief Executive Officer 0f 8-7-6 Tech Solutions, Trevor Forrest, is warning of an increase in cyber threats as a result of artificial intelligence.
Artificial Intelligence refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines that are programmed to think and act like humans.
Mr. Forrest was speaking on Wednesday at the annual Rickert Allen Memorial Lecture, held under the theme: Navigating Artificial Intelligence and Education Exploring issues of impact, ethics, access, and security.
He says a main concern of AI is an increasing over-reliance on the intelligence.
He says avenues such as ChatGPT makes students and practitioners more dependent and less competent in their development.
However, Educator and Education Consultant Rachel McDonald, disagrees.
