Finance and Planning Minister Dr. Peter Phillips will table the Estimates of Expenditure in the House of Representatives on Thursday.

It’ll follow the pomp and pageantry to mark the ceremonial opening of Parliament at 11 in the morning.

The estimates will provide details on what the Ministries and Agencies will receive for Recurrent and Capital expenses.

The budget covers the fiscal year 2015/2016.

Minister Phillips will then open the Debate three weeks later on Thursday, March 12.

Opposition Spokesperson on Finance, Audley Shaw, is scheduled to respond on Tuesday, March 17.

Opposition Leader, Andrew Holness, will make his contribution to the debate on Thursday, March 19.

Prime Minister, Portia Simpson Miller, will make her contribution on Tuesday, March 24.

Dr. Phillips will close the debate the following day.

The financial year formerly begins in April.
