New UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham has sacked several allies of Keir Starmer from cabinet, paving the way for a slate of his own choosing.
Headlining those who’ve lost their jobs are deputy prime minister, David Lammy and chancellor of the exchequer, Rachel Reeves.
Housing secretary, Steve Reed; business secretary, Peter Kyle; science, and technology secretary, Liz Kendall; and attorney general Lord Richard Hermer have also been cut.
Burnham was appointed PM earlier on Monday.
He is the fifth prime minister in four years and the seventh in a decade.
