President of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica, PSOJ, William Mahfood, says he’s personally observed that business confidence is growing steadily, and that the government’s Economic Reform Programme is working.

He says however, that some areas such as agriculture are still suffering due to drought conditions.

Mr Mahfood was speaking at the signing of an MOU between the PSOJ and the National Youth Service, NYS, this morning.

His comments follow the release of the first quarter confidence survey results earlier this week, which revealed that Business Confidence reached its highest level since 2007 .
