The lobby group, Citizens Action for Free and Fair Elections, CAFFE, says it’s greatly disturbed and disappointed that the PNP has not agreed to participate in the political debates.

Chairman of CAFFE, Dr. Lloyd Barnett, says it is unfortunate that external issues have deprived the public of the opportunity to hear and assess the contending positions.

He says the debates are necessary as they lift the level of political discourse.

He’s calling on the PNP to participate in the debates as they give the public a chance to determine which party has the best plan to move the country forward.

Meanwhile, Dr. Barnett says he’s also concerned that several candidates have not signed the Political Code of Conduct.

He’s urging all candidates and their political agents who have not yet signed to do so without further delay.
