Executive Director of the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) Ronald Jackson, says the entity is exploring new funding mechanisms, apart from contributions from Caricom member states.

Mr. Jackson, has publicly expressed disappointment in the inconsistency of Caricom member states honouring their contributions to the regional body.

Speaking with Nationwide News earlier at the 39th Heads of Governement of Caricom Conference in Montego Bay, Mr. Jackson says all the Caricom leaders have reaffirmed their commitment to the entity.

He says he’s hopeful about the outcome of this year’s meetings.
