Chief Executive Officer of Nutrition Products Limited, Andrew Narine, was offered bail when he appeared in the St. Andrew Resident Magistrates’ Court yesterday for illegal possession of ammunition.
His attorney, Queen’s Counsel Tom Tavares-Finson told Nationwide that his client was taken into police custody on Sunday for carrying 52 rounds of ammunition.
Narine’s firearm license permits him to carry only 50 rounds of ammunition.
According to Queen’s Counsel Tavares-Finson, there’s an irregularity in the law.
He noted that he has also taken issue with fact that his client was only offered bail through the courts.
