Finance Minister, Dr Nigel Clarke, has conceded that the government’s performance management system for public sector workers, is a faulty tool.

Dr. Clarke says the performance management system existing in government is basically an inefficient tool.

He says the tool as it exists, is not good enough to be used as a benchmark in the progressive process of upgrading the remuneration package for sector workers.

He says an effective system is being established.

Dr. Clarke says an effective performance manage system is one designed to differentiate across the different levels in the public sector.
