Chairman for the Coffee Industry board, Delano Franklyn, says despite the fires in East Rural St. Andrew the coffee industry will remain strong.

Mr. Franklyn says while the fires were unfortunate he wished to allay fears that the industry is on the decline.

Mr. Franklin says despite production being at an all time low at 1-hundred and 50 thousand boxes, where a peak of over 5-hundred thousand had been enjoyed, the industry is actually on the upswing.
