The boyfriend of missing social media influencer, Donna-lee Donaldson, has been charged with murder.

Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the Crime Portfolio, DCP Fitz Bailey, made the disclosure in the Constabulary monthly media briefing a short while ago.

DCP Bailey says Constable Noel Maitland was slapped with murder charges this afternoon.

Miss Donaldson has been missing since July 11.

It’s understood she was last seen at Maitland’s New Kingston apartment. She has not been seen or heard from since.

Following several searches of his apartment by scene of crime investigators, Maitland was charged with murder.

Maitland was arrested last week in relation to her disappearance.

He was remanded in custody last Friday after a judge refused a habeas corpus application on his behalf.

Nationwide News reported last week that detectives had shifted their focus to treating Donaldson’s disappearance as a murder investigation.

There have been several days of protests by friends and relatives of Miss Donaldson, who’ve demanded justice in her disappearance.
