A police officer who was yesterday shot multiple times in an apparent robbery in Vineyard Town, Kingston is now stable and under observation in hospital.
That’s according to Head of the West Kingston Police Division, Superintendent Howard Chambers.
Reports are that the policeman was driving in the area when armed men attacked him and held him up at gunpoint.
During the attack, the policeman was shot several times. He was rushed to hospital and had to undergo surgery.
Superintendent Chambers says the matter remains under investigation.
