The Rastafari Coral Gardens Benevolent Society is applauding the government for establishing the $12-million Trust Fund for victims of the 1963 Coral Gardens ‘atrocity’.
Treasurer of the Society, Lewis Brown spoke with Nationwide News.
He says the victims who are still alive were in dire need of assistance.
Mr. Brown says a portion of money was paid out to the beneficiaries yesterday.
Meanwhile, a victim of the Coral Gardens atrocity, Walter Brissett says the establishment of the Trust Fund is a great means through which he can take care of himself.
