Almost 80 Jamaicans who’ve visited China between January 23 and February 8, 2020 have been quarantined at home.

Jamaica’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr Jacqueline Bissasor-McKenzie, made the revelation yesterday at a Health Ministry media briefing at its New Kingston offices.

Dr Bissasor McKenzie says representatives from the various health departments are conducting daily checks on the patients who’re quarantined at home.

Meanwhile, Health Minister, Dr Christopher Tufton says he notes concerns raised by some residents near the St Joseph’s Hospital that has recently been designated a coronavirus quarantine facility.

Dr Bissassor Mckenzie’s seeking to assure the residents that there’s no need for panic.
