The Kingston and St Andrew Corporation, KSAC, is creating a mobile app they say could significantly end youth unemployment.

They’re calling it Kingston Live.

Mayor for Kingston and St Andrew says the app will be an earning and learning virtual environment for young individuals.

The idea was developed as a result of the Latin America and Caribbean Mayor’s Challenge being done by the Bloomberg Philanthropies charity organisation.

Currently, the country ranks in the top 20 finalists of the 290 countries that entered.

Mayor, Brown Burke says the KSAC will be making efforts to make Kingston Live a reality regardless of the outcome.

The 20 countries are now competing for a prize of USD$9-million for the furtherance of their innovative product ideas.

The winner will be announced in September.
