The Ministry of Health has confirmed an additional 210 positive COVID-19 tests as of September 16 and five deaths.

In a statement this morning the Ministry says this brings the total number of COVID-19 cases up to 4, 374.

Along gender lines 100 of the cases were male and 110 are female.

Kingston and St. Andrew has the most cases at 67 followed by St. Catherine with 39.

Four are cases of confirmed cases with the remaining two-hundred under investigation.

The new COVID-19 related deaths include an 81-year-old female from Kingston & St Andrew who had Congestive cardiac failure, Diabetes and Hypertension.

A 71-year-old-female from St Catherine, who had Diabetes and Hypertension and a 69-year-old male from Kingston & St Andrew.

Two deaths that were formerly placed under investigation have been confirmed as COVID-19 Related Deaths, they are a 76-year-old female from St Catherine, who had a history of Hypertension and Diabetes a 46-year-old female from Westmoreland, who had a terminal illness.
