Jamaica’s COVID-19 positivity rate is at 24.3%.
That’s according to the latest update from the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
The positivity rate follows the confirmation of 67 new cases.
The cases come from 282 COVID-19 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
The total number of positive cases in the island now stands at 1-hundred and 46 thousand 6 hundred and 8.
Majority of the new cases reported are from Kingston and St. Andrew.
Three COVID-19 fatalities were recorded.
Meanwhile, there were 79 new recoveries.
One hundred and 5 persons are hospitalised with COVID.
20 are moderately ill, 6 are severely ill, and 6 considered critical.
Over 81-percent of those hospitalised are unvaccinated.
