Jamaica’s COVID-19 positivity rate is just over 23%
In its latest update, the Ministry of Health reported a positivity rate of 23.1%
The positivity rate follows the confirmation of 84 new cases.
They come from 856 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
34 of the new cases are from St James.
Seven new deaths have also been recorded.
More than 3000 Jamaicans have died from COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.
There were 143 recoveries reported in the update.
124 people are hospitalised with COVID.
48 are moderately ill, 12 are severely ill and 4 are critical.
88% of those hospitalised are unvaccinated.
