Defending champions Jamaica Tallawahs, St. Lucia Kings, Guyana Amazon Warriors and Trinbago Knight Riders are the four teams that advance to the knockout round of the Caribbean Premier League.
The Tallawahs, who ended the preliminary round in 4th place and the Kings who finished third will face off in the Eliminator match today at the providence stadium, in Guyana.
Meanwhile, The Warriors who topped the table take on second place Knight Riders at the same venue tomorrow.
Veteran cricket commentator, Joseph “Reds” Perreira, says the teams position at the end of the group stage means very little in the knock out round.
The Tallawahs and the Kings met on two occasions in the first round with the Jamaican franchise coming out on top on both occasions.
Perreira says on paper both teams are evenly match.
