Some students who were successful in the Caribbean Secondary Examination Certificate, CSEC Exams, are urging others to exercise determination and endurance.
The students, some of whom, had to overcome severe difficulty as they sat their tests, were speaking on Nationwide @5, on Tuesday.
Nathan, passed 10 subjects including Mathematics, Biology and Additional Mathematics.
He says his mother passed away shortly before he sat the Mathematics exam when he was in fourth form.
He then sat the other exams the following year, his father passed away.
Another student, Sirene Shirley, got ones in all nine subjects she sat, including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
She had to travel from her home in Portland to school at St Andrew High, daily.
Port Antonio High School student Rahjai Thompson, was successful in eight subjects.
His mother passed away when he was young and he grew up with his grandmother.
Rahjai says he had to attend school on both shifts to pursue all eight subjects.
