Prime Minister Andrew Holness says the government is concerned about the quality of Education that’s being provided at this time.

Speaking at the unveiling of the Edward Seaga Primary and Infant School yesterday afternoon, Prime Minister Holness says the problems are far larger than poor outcomes in math and english.

The Prime Minister noted that Education Stakeholders should focus on the socio-emotional intelligence metrics of the education system.

He added that while the education sector has been performing well, students need to be better equipped to navigate the new world.

Prime Minister Holness explained that teachers are still being burdened by behavioral issues that usually stem from problems at home.
