Environmentalist Peter Espeut is raising concern about what he sees as inaction by the government to address the issue of squatting.
He was reacting to the devastation to several roads and hillsides at the weekend, caused by heavy rainfall.
Mr Espeut says the people who squat engage in harmful environmental practices.
He says squatters have been enabled by politicians.
Mr Espeut says there’s a need to put an end to squatting.
